Lil Flutie Returns...


It's time to wake up... Again!

Hello :^O

It's me - the creator of Lil Flutie 3D. After a long break, I've finally started working on the SEQUEL. And this time, we plan to do things the right way B). 

We've spent a tremendous amount of time on the Director's Pandemic Edition. Most of it was due to a fact that the project has started as a gamejam game, so we had to live with a lot of shitty design choices, really messy project and code and stuff. Also, we've learned quite a lot since then and now we're able to do things way cleaner and better. Even though the game had its apparent problems, I think that it also executed certain things quite alright. Many people could see past its flaws (for that I'm REALLY thankful <3) and have given us awesome feedback that could help to make our vision much clearer. Now we understand pretty clear what went well and what we can elaborate upon.

So the sequel will be all about everything that was important for the original :

  • fluid and fast movement
  • the late 90s and early 2000s game, electronic music, 3D visuals nostalgia
  • cool, original characters

More Features!

This time I want to have a proper, reliable movement system with a bunch of moves that would be easy to play, but hard to master. So the skilled player could move around the world quite quickly using the combination of the moves, but the game would still be accessible to people who don't have that much experience with the platforming genre.

Another thing is that I've been learning WWise and FMOD so we're for sure make use of one of them for the adaptive soundtrack! Cool!

Lastly, it's really possible that we'll have a REAL 3D artist on board! Who also happens to know 2D quite well! And who's also focusing lately on learning a level and environment design! WOW!
